A factory is not a supply chain
Many teams treat their manufacturer as their supply chain. It's a common mistake, and one that creates risk, dependency, and limited flexibility as you scale.
Your factory is only one part of your supply chain.
Many teams treat their manufacturer as their supply chain. It's a common mistake. A factory builds your product. A supply chain delivers it – reliably, repeatedly, and at scale. A real supply chain includes multiple suppliers, component sourcing, logistics, fulfilment, and contingency planning.
Relying on a single factory creates risk. It limits flexibility, reduces visibility, and creates dependency on one partner. Strong supply chains are designed, not inherited. They're structured to allow flexibility across regions, control over cost and quality, and resilience as volumes grow.
NPI isn't a phase. It's the foundation for everything that follows.
